SOULS•2014

In New Orleans, we live on many levels, seen and unseen. We live below sea and poverty level yet we send our loved ones off on high notes of second-line bands as the bodies of ascending souls rest above ground. There is an enduring sense of hope that sustains me through temporary periods of tragedy. I have learned that my heart will forever be tied to this city come what come may.
